Privacy protection and the Act on the Protection of Personal Information

Kashikojima Hojoen Co., Ltd. must comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003; hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”) for the protection of privacy, and compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act, together with the content of this page, shall constitute our privacy policy.

• Personal information provided through reservations or inquiries must not be used for any purpose other than those stated.
• Personal information provided by guests through questionnaires, etc. may be used for reservations and inquiries and may also be used to provide information on our company's services and products via visits, telephone calls, direct mail, and email. Kashikojima Hojoen must not use personal information of our guests for any purpose other than those listed above without their consent.

• When we obtain personal information directly from a guest in writing, etc., we must clearly state the purpose of use in advance.
• The purpose of use in cases other than those listed above must, in principle, be announced on this page.
• Kashikojima Hojoen must not acquire personal information through deception or other wrongful means.

Kashikojima Hojoen must ensure the accuracy and up-to-dateness of personal data to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use.

Safety management measures, and supervision of employees and subcontractors

Kashikojima Hojoen must take the necessary and appropriate measures to ensure the safety management of personal data and provide the necessary and appropriate supervision of employees and subcontractors.

Restrictions on the provision of personal data to third parties

Kashikojima Hojoen must not, in principle, provide personal data to third parties without the consent of the relevant guest. In the case of outsourcing, mergers, or joint use with specific parties (in cases where the guest has been notified of the joint use and other certain matters), this shall not be considered as provision of personal data to third parties.
However, personal information may be disclosed or used in the following cases.

1. When required by laws and regulations
2. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question
3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local public body, or a person entrusted by it in the execution of its duties under the law, and obtaining the consent of the person in question is likely to hinder the execution of those duties

Publication, disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc.

• We must disclose the personal data of any guest only upon request by the guest in question.
• We must correct or suspend the use of the personal data of any guest upon request by the guest in question.
• Please contact the inquiry desk below to request disclosure, correction, or suspension of use. We shall confirm the identity of the guest in question at that time.
